Scholarships

Scholarships currently accepting applications:

McLennan County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Applications due March 1. 

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduating senior in McLennan County or in a contiguous county.
2. Family must have been a McLennan County Farm Bureau Member for one year prior to
application deadline.
3. Applicant must be an active member of 4-H, FFA, FCIA, or has attended the Texas Farm
Bureau Citizenship Seminar.
4. Applicant must submit current High School Transcript.
5. All applications requirements must be submitted on or before the due date. Applications
must be completed by hand using black ink or typed using correct format.

The $3000.00 scholarship will be awarded to the top qualifying graduate that meets all selected
criteria listed. McLennan County Farm Bureau at their discretion may give additional
scholarships of $2000.00 and / or $1000.00 to qualifying graduates that also meet the criteria.
Scholarship funds will be paid directly to a college, university, or technical school upon
submitting proof or enrollment to McLennan County Farm Bureau.

Applications due February 7.

  • SAT/ACT score or required entrance test score required by school must be provided unless degree plan does not require these tests

  • Wallet size or 4X6(max) original photo should be attached to the application

  • Include only one (1) letter of recommendation from your High School Faculty, Counselor or Administrator. From school you are currently attending. Consisting of 1 page only.

  • LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION MUST BE ON SCHOOL LETTERHEAD,SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR OF RECOMMENDATION AND SHOW THE POSITION OF THAT FACILITY MEMBER

  • (Note: This is also a major reason for disqualification!)

  • LETTER SHOULD HAVE NO STAMPED SIGNATURES

  • LETTER SHOULD NOT BE A COPY

  • Signature of Agri-Science Teacher or County Extension Agent (CEA), if in FFA/FCCLA-Page 10

  • Signature of High School Principal or Counselor, Page 10

  • Signature of Applicant, Page 10

  • Signature of Parent, Page 10

  • Official transcript required

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Foundation offers scholarships to students pursuing a degree in agriculture or an agriculture-related program. 

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors or college undergraduates currently enrolled or accepted at an 
accredited university in Texas or Oklahoma.  Applicants are selected on the basis of their interest in the industry, leadership, academic achievement and financial need.

Applications are due February 3, 2020.
Scholarships are awarded in late March.

McLennan County Youth Activities Association Scholarship Application

To be eligible to apply the student must be a graduating high school senior at the end of the spring semester immediately following the award of the scholarship and must have participated in McLennan County Junior Livestock Show and/or Youth Fair.

The scholarship committee will determine the number of scholarships and subsequent amounts. Criteria considered includes participation in MCJLS, community service, leadership, educational plans, achievements, academics, and presentation. Scholarships to be awarded by the committee include McLennan County Junior Livestock Show Knapek scholarships, the Mary Greene Memorial Scholarship, and Raymond and Rosie Knapek Memorial Scholarships.
In addition, the Buzbee Family will award Kynadi Buzbee Memorial Scholarships and the Goates Family will award the Linda Goates Memorial Scholarship. The same application is used for all above mentioned scholarships.

Applications must be postmarked no later than December 10, 2019.
